Photo Memories

Ian joined the Easthampstead Golf Club in 2005, and served as Captain in 2011.

During his time at the Club he was always committed to making the Club the best it could be, and worked tirelessly to ensure success was achieved. His efforts in making the Seniors Section what it is today cannot be underestimated. He built up a fixture list of friendlies with a number of local clubs, established the Club in the M4 Seniors Winter League, and made the Seniors Open one of the jewels in the EGC annual calendar. He was a larger than life character who’s impact at EGC will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and condolences are with Ceinwen, Steven and the family at this time.

Condolences Received

From the Captain:
It’s with great sadness that I have to report that Ian Nicholson passed recently.
Ian was our 2011 Captain and a valued Member of the Committee for many years.
My thoughts are with his wife Ceinwen, and his family.
I will share details of the funeral arrangements once they have been made available.

Kind Regards,
Nigel
