On Thursday 14th Dec there will be a Poker night at the Downshire. This is a combined initiative between Graham Dibley and Sara at the complex and we have them every few months.
Whilst some people take the poker pretty seriously, it is always a fun night with lots of laughs. Each player buys in for just £5 and if you lose all your chips before the break then you can buy back in for an additional £5. So the most you can lose is £10 and your credibility (for going all in on a couple of pairs).
The entry fees are split, usually between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed player on each table. You will not be able to take a holiday on your winnings but it does give you gloating rights until the next time.
The game starts around 7.30 and usually runs till about 10.30 but a lot of people get eliminated early when you can either stay and see who wins or go for an early kebab and lick your wounds.
