On Saturday 14th June, our President Ali Smith and author of ‘Bizarre Night Rituals’, along with his editing team, held a promotional event at Waterstone’s bookshop in Bracknell.
Waterstones have purchased a number of books for sale within the Bracknell store, and the book store manager was keen to support such an activity. In addition to this, David Smith was able to successfully invite the Bracknell Forest Mayoress, councillor Janet Cochrane to visit and hear about the book.
During her visit, the Mayoress was keen to have a signed copy of the book. Note that she purchased a copy for her son! An official photographer was also present as well as local press representatives, and you will be able to find additional reports on the event and indeed our book on the Wokingham Today website, and also on the website of Golf Business News.
A number of club members visited during the 4-hour event, and over that time around 15 books were sold.
