Easthampstead Ladies Golf Club is a warm and friendly club, actively welcoming new members of all abilities.
We run a very full calendar of events, summer and winter, monthly Medal competitions, monthly Stablefords plus many Trophy competitions, playing both on a Thursday and one day each weekend. Alongside these we also have a number of fun competitions such as Captain’s Day and Charity Day, which is played in conjunction with the Easthampstead Men’s club to raise funds for the Captains’ chosen charities.
We have several mixed competitions throughout the year, playing both with and against the men and some annual friendly fixtures against local clubs. Each year, usually in early Spring, we have a club weekend away at a venue within a couple of hours drive of the club.
We are affiliated to Berkshire County Ladies and England Golf and are members of the NAPGC (National Association of Public Golf Courses). The competitions that these organisations run give our members opportunities to play as part of a team or an individual at a variety of courses throughout the UK. We actively encourage members, high and low handicappers, to participate and represent the club in these competitions.
We participate in the Berkshire County Silver and Bronze Leagues, and enter team and individual events organised by the county. In 2019 we won the Berkshire Team Competition. In past years we have won the Duncan Trophy a team knockout competition against other Berkshire clubs.
We hold qualifying competitions for National competitions such as the Ping 4 Ball Better Ball, the Coronation Foursomes and the Australian Spoons. In most years, pairs from the club have been successful in proceeding further.
Each year we enter multiple teams for NAPGC run competitions and have enjoyed considerable success, winning the Mary Forster Bowl twice recently, and the JHB trophy, the Whitewebbs Trophy and the Hawtree Trophy in the past. Ladies from the club have won the Pairs matchplay competition twice since it’s inception 4 years ago. In addition we are very proud that, for the last three years, members of Easthampstead Ladies have been UKPCC Champions at the finals held at St Andrews.
