Captain’s Drive-In – Round 1
We set off in lovely sunshine, though it was definitely chillier by the time we finished. Those last four holes gave us all “platform soles”! A big well done to Penny, whose very fancy marker ended up closest to my drive. The Texas Scramble was a nail-biter, but Millie, Christeen, and Denice edged it by just 0.2 — congratulations!
Captain’s Drive-In – Round 2
Another sunny winter’s day for us, and with no back nine, we managed to dodge most of the mud. Huge thanks to everyone who joined in — especially the hardy souls who also played Thursday, your dedication is amazing! And to those who came for the drive-in, photo-op, and a cheerful “Happy Birthday” for Sam, I hope you enjoyed warming up with coffee in the clubhouse afterwards.
Mo’s guess was nearest to my drive (maybe some insider knowledge from Thursday?!). Sam looked ready to put her marker in Hobbs Wood but wisely thought better of it! The nett scores were incredibly close — 46, 47, and 47. Gross winners were Ritva, Christeen, and Anne, with Christeen taking a double win this week. Bravo!
