Competitors enjoyed glorious sunshine for this year’s UKPCC Final at The Shropshire. As temperatures rose through the day, conditions were perfect for a challenging round on a course featuring well-placed bunkers and tricky ditches guarding the greens.
Scoring in the ladies’ competition proved testing, with the leading players finishing on 35 points. Vickie Motley, playing as defending champion, once again demonstrated her consistency with an excellent 22 points on the back nine, securing her position as UKPCC Champion for a second consecutive year.
Also among the prize winners was Al Woolley, who achieved runner-up in Division 1, marking a successful performance since recently moving into the higher division.
Vickie’s victory earns her automatic qualification for next year’s final, which returns to the Eden Course at St Andrews. With one in three players progressing from both club and regional rounds, there is strong potential for a significant club presence at the 2026 final in Scotland.
