44 players from ELGC enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of golf – full of good humour, competition and friendship – plus as an extra bonus virtually no rain .
The winning team was the Vice Captain’s Blue Team by the sizeable score of 7 1/2 to 3 1/2
( although this score line hides several closely fought finishes going to the 18th)

Nearest the Pin victor was Barbs – well done .
Thanks go to everyone – the event was full of smiles and friendship but particularly to Al who did so much behind the scenes to get this match up and running.
And onto next year – I’m reliably informed that this VC success brings it up to an overtime total of 7 victories which matches the 7 of the Captains team ( other matches since 2006 have been drawn ).
